Michaela’s attitude is not the only thing getting in the way of her game. When she was not selected to participate in the Reward Challenge, she decided to sit back and throw herself a pity party. She was so blinded by anger, she didn’t see the Secret Advantage when she boosted herself up on the ‘sit out’ platform. How could she miss this? SMH This gave Sarah the opportunity to snatch the advantage from right underneath Michaela’s nose and I couldn’t have been happier to see this. The advantage takes away a vote from someone and if played correctly, could take Sarah further in the game.
Culpepper, Sierra, Aubry, Debbie and Andrea won the Reward Challenge and soon were all in a seaplane on their way to the reward destination. Unfortunately, while in the plane, Debbie started her ME, ME, ME rhetoric and let us all know she knew more about planes than anyone else. I think, had I been sitting beside her, I would have opened the emergency door and thrown her out!
In the Immunity Challenge each Survivor had to spell immunity by stacking blocks one at time on a platform, which they had to keep level by holding on to a rope, while they went back to pick up the letters. Andrea and Troyzan were neck and neck and it looked like Andrea was going to win, but then after placing her last letter, her stack fell, which gave Troyzan the win.
Back at camp the Culpepper/Sierra alliance saw Andrea as a threat and felt it was time to get rid of her. Things seemed to be set in stone and Andrea would be the next sacrificial lamb, until Debbie once again started running off at the mouth! Debbie took it upon herself to talk to the members of the other side and after she started pushing her weight around and flaunting her security of being in a solid six alliance, she managed to talk herself right out of the game. I couldn’t have been happier!! At Tribal Debbie never saw it coming and we all enjoyed another great blindside. I am sure this woman is still talking to herself!!
Sorry you made it to jury and I hope we have seen the last of you!
It will be interesting to see what happens next week. Will Sarah now find herself on the outs with Culpepper and Sierra or will she be running the show?
No condolences this week, as I was happy as can be to see Debbie blindsided!! I am sure we all did the ‘HAPPY DANCE’.
Sorry to be so late with this page. I am anxious to hear your comments.
Have a great week!
Betty

Great write up Betty! I still haven’t goon online to watch first half I missed. I was so proud of Troyzan. Also (sorry) so glad Debbie is out. To bad she’s on jury. I’m beat. Laying in bed with my girlie. Binging on Netflix, The Great British Baking Show. Lol Have a good night!

Thanks Keri! Snuggle up with the Bug and enjoy your programs! I was happy for Troyzan too and actually did the happy dance when Debbie was voted out!

Betty, fantastic write up, as ususl. Love your thoughts and play by plays. Sorry you lost a player, but we all know she had to leave. It was so difficult listening to her. We still have to look at her every week, but no more of her gloating.
It should be interesting to see how the alliances will go next week.
Thanks again Betty….I appreciate you taking the time to post this page for us.

Thanks Frannie. Sorry it was late, but I just couldn’t stop watching the Blues/Predators game and then the Oilers/Ducks! I was so tired when I tried to create a new page, in fact, I was actually punchy. I finally just gave up and went to bed. Thanks so much for commenting, as most everyone had commented on other blogs and there wasn’t much more to say about last night’s episode. Thanks again Frannie for your support!

Exactly!! Lol….I answered again from my email on my phone. I could have just said ditto.

Thanks Aggie. I always hope to have a page up shortly after midnight, but last night I couldn’t stay awake.

No pressure Betty. I’m glad you choose when you want to do it….and if something else comes up or you’re tired…. oh well
It has taken years… but Aggie seems to have caught on to that concept now too. And I am very happy about that.
Blogs are fun… a hobby. Not a job where you punch a clock.

Betty, there is no time limit to put up a new page. You’re doing a terrific job, so of course I will stop by. There may be times I am late too, but I always try to stop by.

No harm in liking your own work 🙂

Hi Betty, I was especially thrilled Debbie got the blindside after she started opening her mouth again on tribal, I do think the only reason she is there is because she’s crazy and out there, I don’t think anyone liked her.
I was really happy for Troy for getting immunity, he was so excited he hugged Jeff.
As far a Michaela my feelings are kind of mixed about her, I don’t mind her, I appreciate her honesty at times. I thought it was funny when she was sitting on the side and was mouthing off, Jeff gave her a look and seemed annoyed
betty said:
I like Michaela too. It was sad to see her feelings get in the way. She wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings. Debbie’s big mouth was her downfall. I think if she had kept it shut, Sarah would have voted out Andrea. Debbie has no one else to blame, other than herself for being evicted.
aggie27 said:
good for Sarah for noticing the clue, i hope she can hang in, Maybe someone might consider taking Michaela to the end, nobody would vote for her, maybe that someone could be Cirie, actually she is the one Michaela gets a long with best, you have to think they are the only 2 blacks, so they might stick together

Thanks Betty for the write up, great job as usual

Hi Betty!😊Like everyone I was happy go see Debbie Downer go. I
Was starting to fear she might win as everyone seemed to be blindly following her.
I was proud of Sarah for taking some initiative and changing things. Also for being the only one not self aware but aware enough to find the advantage! She is kind of playing Dan’s game. She’s been playing it pretty close to the vest and staying in the background. She finally could feel it was time to turn it up. Worked for him!! lol. I think she will start working with new people like Andrea, Cirie and Michaela. Not sure how she feels about Zeke but I hope bad. lol I want him gone NEXT!!
Good write up. And as others said, you can write it anytime. We’ve got a week between shows!! 🤗 Gives us something to look forward to. 😉

Thanks Star. It will be interesting to see what Sarah does next. She doesn’t trust Andrea, so I can’t see her teaming up with her, but on the other hand, she betrayed Culpepper and Sierra and I don’t know if she will be able to mend fences. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Well done Miss Betty!! You have no worries about being late. How can you be late to your own blog? Not to worry my friend! BTW who won, the Oilers or the Ducks? 😉 As for Survivor, I was hootin & hollerin when Debbie was voted out. Her farewell was tasteful though as opposed to vengeful. I had a friend like her who knew everything and has done everything and has done it with excellence and never stopped talking about her wonderfulness. That’s Debbie to me. Happy for Troyzan. He’s a good guy.
As for Michaela, I think she’s very smart and has no social skills, plus she’s very literal. All the signs of Asbergers. I would bet she was never taught those skills or had any help. That’s what it looks like to me. If they have some skilled education, they can be taught how to be social and not so literal, etc. It’s hard for them but they can at least get to the point where they don’t appear so self-centered and odd plus they are taught to understand Asbergers which helps them understand themselves. I still think that choosing Cirie over Michaela for a comp was about as stupid a move as I can imagine, whoever the captains were.
I would love to see Brad, Sierra or Zeke go next in any order. I really liked Sarah’s move. It will be interesting going forward to see how she does. I like her a lot plus Aubry and Troyzan too. As for the ‘secret advantage’, I don’t know if I would have spotted it at my feet either. She might have spotted it on her way over there but she was too angry/hurt to notice. I’m happy Aubry found it and hope she’ll use it well.
betty said:
Thanks Trudy. I think Sarah made a great move in getting rid of Debbie, however, she will have to mind her P’s and Q’s, as Cirie, Aubry and Zeke are not strong players and she knows Andrea once brought up her name for eviction. I wonder if Sarah will try and blame Tai as the betrayer. Can’t wait to see what she does next week, because if she succeeds in blending back into the Culpepper/Sierra alliance, Sarah might well be this season’s winner!
betty said:
Forgot to mention…Oilers won 5 – 3.
Justaguy (JT) said:
Trudy… I agree with you that Michaela is much better at comps than Cirie.
But in this case… Cirie was drawn as a team captain…. so she was playing no matter what and choosing people to be on her team
The thing I am surprised about is that Cirie didn’t choose Michaela to be on her team. Michaela is hard to get along with….. but she works her ass of at every challenge… no doubt about that.
starfish said:
Thanks JT. Somehow I missed who was captain. In that case, Cirie probably didn’t want to show her hand about Michaela but it was still a dumb move.
Justaguy (JT) said:
I was thinking maybe it was that too….. I figured there would be a scene after that comp where Cirie tode Michaela that she didn’t pick her to cover their alliance
LOL.. on tv that advantage thing looked HUGE!! like a damn billboard under there. Can’t believe no one saw that until Sarah did… and still can’t believe she managed to get up there… and untie it undetected.
tedstrutz said:
Nice job again, Betty. Loved your comment about throwing Debbie off the plane. Can’t wait to see Ponderosa… poor Hali and Ozzy.
I cannot imagine why Cerie was picked over Michaela, except that they must all hate here so, but I would think the reward would trump their feelings. And I agree with Trudy, Michaela would have had to look under the bench to see the clue, she was too busy seething with hatred over not being picked.
Each week holds a surprise, excellent season so far and I’m rooting for Sarah now. I kind of thought they would get rid of the guys next, but maybe they will go gunning for Sierra. Glad Troyzan got immunity, and interesting that Tai had a problem spelling… shows how confused the mind can get in that state. Unless he can’t spell.
betty said:
Thanks Ted. Picking Cirie over Michaela for the Reward Challenge was just plain stupid! Sarah made a bold move and I hope it works out for her. It will be interesting to see how she handles herself next week.

I absolutely love your write-ups, Betty. So crisp and clean. Can’t believe she sat there with that advantage at her feet or that no one saw other girl dive in and swim and go retrieve it. Props to her for paying major attention. So Tai has a couple and Troy still has one. Should be great ending to great season. Again. Have wonderful weekend. Maine Coon Mr. Louis Smudge cat sends his love.
Back to cleaning the hall windows. Send more Windex and paper towels.

Thanks Kevin, like I said above, Michaela’s anger is getting in the way of her game. This is the best Survivor I have seen in a long, long time. I left more paper towels and Windex for you at the end of the hall, along with some catnip for Sir Louis.

NHL Playoffs the best. Never a dull moment.
betty said:
I agree. The first round was terrific. I loved all the overtimes. I was impressed with Toronto, Babcock has certainly turned the Maple Leafs around and it won’t be long till they are Stanley Cup contenders. Who would you like to see win? I am pulling for either the Senators or Oilers, because a Canadian team hasn’t won the Cup since 1990. I know it is just wishful thinking, as I can’t see anyone defeating Pittsburgh, although if Nashville makes it to the final round, they might pull it off. They play with brute force, which Crosby doesn’t like. He can be such a baby sometimes, but I will give him credit, he is a great hockey player! Please give Sir Louis kisses and big hug from me!
starfish said:
Hey, I guess I’ll have to root for Pittsburgh since I’m from there. 😊

Justaguy (JT) said:
I was wondering if you were rooting for the Penguins Trudy… I figured you were since you root for the Steelers. I know Sal is all about the Penguins.
I have nothing against Pitt really… other than they have had a lot of success lately and I like seeing new teams win. Same with the Blackhawks.
But their success is good for hockey IMO. It wasn’t that long ago that both Chicago and Pittsburgh were in serious trouble… and pretty much irrelevant in the NHL… and it felt pretty empty without them. Sorta like the Redwings now. There are just some teams that make the sport better when they are doing well.
I know my Wild are not one of those teams….. and even if we still had the North Stars… they were never really one of those teams either.
starfish said:
JT, I was just teasing Betty. I know nothing about hockey except if you hit the puck into that net thingy, you scoooooor. Of course, we have the Ducks out here and they give their wins/losses during sports. If they are in the finals, I do watch the game because it’s a fun game to watch. Other than that, it’s football and basketball for me. 🙂

Damn… sorry so late to the party here Betty. I did get the email of this new post.. but got busy with other things and it slipped my mind 🙄
Anyway… GREAT Recap! …and too damn funny about opening the plane door on Debbie. I was doing some serious eyerolling when she started in with all her BS about enjoying watching others on planes (aka.. watching the mere peasants) …because of course she’s so damn worldly that planes have become mundane.
I was a bit nervous when Sarah started yapping about how she was so smart and observant to find that advantage…. and how no one else knew how to use those… and she would show everyone the proper way to do it.
That kind of talk is usually foreshadowing your demise…. and she’s my last peep in the pool!! LOL
It still amazes me even though we’ve seen it every season for 34 seasons…. that people get so over-confident of their position in the game. I just can’t wrap my little brain around that kind of thinking. You’d think people who play Survivor would know to never feel safe… especially people who have played before.
betty said:
Thanks JT, I know we all get busy, but I am so happy you stopped by. Don’t count Sarah out! I have a feeling she will smooth things over with Culpepper, after all, I don’t think Culpepper liked Debbie very much and he probably didn’t trust her, especially after her gushy apology. Not sure about Sierra, but maybe Sarah can win her over too. I think either Andrea or Sierra will be out this week. If Sarah can play her hand close to her chest and not get cocky, she could find herself in a in a great position. I wonder if she will try and and point the finger at Tai as being the traitor. I could be wrong, but if I had to choose a winner now, it would be Sarah. Good luck JT!
Justaguy (JT) said:
Yeah… seems like she might be ok. But I just cringe any time anyone starts talking about how smart they are and how everyone else doesn’t know how to play.
Pool or no pool.
betty said:
I agree, but I don’t think Sarah will try to push anyone around. She will probably sit back and wait to see who the majority wants out and go with this. If she can quietly slip back into the background and not try to be the leader, she could win. I believe her cop instincts will help her keep a pulse on things and not overplay her hand. She is no dummy, that’s for sure. JMO
